Underground Seminar 6 Review
So this was my first time attending Yanik Silver’s Underground Online Seminar and I highly recommend you attend next year. I signed up again while I was there. I was on the fence about it last year for UG5 but I don’t want to miss it now. DVDs will soon be available I’m sure, but there are a few things you can only get from attending, and they’re vital to the experience.
UG6 First Impression
I wasn’t overly impressed after the first day, but that was just me I suppose and a few others. Let me tell you – once it got into full swing, I would have been happy going home after hearing just the speakers on Saturday. So I suppose you could say it started a little slow and ended with a bang!
I’ve heard that half the point in attending is the networking, and that was obvious by looking around and seeing everyone always talking and introducing themselves to each other. It was great. I didn’t know a soul when I walked in, but I managed to meet some great people, and I had a blast. I just went through my credit card statement and I have to say the food and alcohol at the bar in the evening added up quick. I don’t think I got to bed before 3:00 am all three nights!
So besides the partying and socializing with great like-minded people, what was the benefit you may ask, why should you go? There is an energy that comes from knowing so many others are out there trying to do the same as you – make a dollar online. Some are doing it well, some are killing it. Others are struggling just like you perhaps. To sit and talk and get that momentous push to really buckle down is something you can’t get by reading about in a report or listening to in an interview. You have to attend and experience it, these presenters were putting everyone out there, going in to details about how they run their business, pricing, tactics, full mindmaps, it was unreal how much they were sharing.
Speaker Highlights
There was a lot of great information on tactics used to have 8 figure online businesses and mindmaps presented and used by visionary leaders. I was most interested in hearing Vishen Lakihani. Vishen spoke about some of the things his company does online to make a huge income, but there was something more important than online tactics. He spoke about how his company has grown over the last three years by over 120% (year over year, each year accelerating at a higher %) and how that happened. He spoke of being in a state of flow. To make a long story short, it’s about always having your goals (vision) but at the same time appreciation (gratitude) for today. If you ever have the chance to see him speak, he’s a fantastic speaker – had the crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody!
Next up was Jeremy Shoemaker who gave a great presentation and emphasized again (heard this many times at the seminar) the huge opportunity doing internet marketing for local businesses. When I say huge opportunity, I mean 7 figure opportunities just waiting for you. With all the money Jeremy has made with his online businesses over the years, he still helps out his local dentist, car dealership, even photographers. Why….because it’s easy, they need help and it’s worth a lot of money.
I got a chance to meet Gary Vaynerchuk as well, speaking as he has been for a while about personal branding and social media. His passion and drive are so electric that you can’t not listen to what he has to say. So many people I spoke to after his presentation said they could have listened to him speak all afternoon (he only had an hour or so). So humble and appreciative of what he has, where he is, and how he got there. I recommend you read his book “Crush It“. If you have the opportunity to meet Gary, DO IT!
Wrap Up
I would do it all over again, and I plan on doing it next year. All of the speakers I’ve mentioned were first time speakers, and they all spoke highly of their experience. Jeremy said in all his seminar years, this was one of THE best he has had the opportunity to speak at because of the quality people that showed up for this evening. I could go on and on talking about the people I met, the fun I had, the ideas that came up with while speaking with others. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re on the fence, just bite the bullet and attend one. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I doubt Yanik has ever had to refund anyone because they were unhappy (and he will, on top of that, he’ll pay for your first nights hotel stay).
I’m not pitching this because I’m going to make anything from it. I have no affiliation with UGS. I just truly believe it is something of great value and you need to get your ass there.
P.S. – I just got an email from a friend I met there. He’s still recovering after Saturday night’s partying shenanigans. Not only is it educational, it’s packed full of fun too.
